To, Too, Two

I almost missed it, but this month marks the second anniversary of Homophones, Weakly! To celebrate, I figured I should finally get around too To, Too, and Two. With special thanks two everybody who has suggested it over the years. Sorry it took me so long.

  1. Happy Blog-iversary! Two be honest, I'm amazed you waited so long two use it--I would have probably used it right off the bat and that would have been far two soon. :)

  2. Well, certainly I hope I make these pics look easy, but the truth is I struggled a long time trying to figure out how best to draw this one. It's the homophone everyone thinks of first. It (along with its/it's) is like the biggest pet peeve people have homophone-wise. It was on my radar right from the start, and I got a million suggestions for it too. The longer I waited, the more I heard about it... But it really wasn't until recently that I felt like I had a concise idea for the images. And at this point it coincided with year #2, so it seemed appropriate, to boot. Win-win.
These contraction homophones – its/it's, whose/who's, your/you're – I really need to tackle next, for the same reason. But they're/their/there even harder.

  3. Plain & plane. Plane is also a homonym: a flat surface and an airplane.

  6. I usually wait until my mourning is over before I post. It's too hard to see through the tears, otherwise.
