Discreet & Discrete
A very useful one this week, I think. Discreet and discrete.
-eet – secretive, private, careful.
-ete – separate, distinct, apart.
"We kissed discreetly in the dark, then departed discretely."
Valuable site, where did u come up with the information in this posting? I am pleased I discovered it though, ill be checking back soon to find out what new content pieces u have. Chiang Mai
You know? This is such a simple one and I think I mixed it up...I'm a fail former English teacher.
ReplyDeleteDon't kick yourself over it, Robert. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat does discrete mean?
ReplyDeletediscrete
It means "separate" or "distinct." So the two dudes in the picture are going their separate ways, discrete from one another rather than together.
